When I was formally welcomed to the Diocese of San José, Msgr. Fran Cilia mentioned to me, “Bishop McGrath was just like you 20 years ago.”

Our beloved Bishop Emeritus Patrick Joseph McGrath has gone to the Lord. After a brief illness, he was called home on May 7, 2023.

The road map that will guide our local church is the Pastoral Plan, inspired by the Diocesan Synod in January 2023.

Happy Easter! The risen Christ gives us hope and joy in living the Gospel.

The bread and wine presented on the altar are transformed into the body and blood of Christ.

I am grateful that so many have been participating in the diocesan year of prayer as we prepare our hearts and minds.
